Today we have a homemade recipe from Dana from California, one of our readers. This guacamole is a bit different than most and should be served with oven-warmed chips. Dana prefers blue corn tortilla chips.
First things first: for this recipe, you must use cold avocados. Purchase four avocados that are soft to the touch, but not mushy. Here are the rest of the ingredients:
1 small shallot
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 a lime
1/4 a small yellow onion
1 handful of fresh cilantro
1 teaspoon of sea salt
1 teaspoon of black pepper
Combine all the ingredients and serve with the chips.
